FREE COMIC BOOK DAY 2004
Many
retailers throughout the country thought that Free Comic Book
Day 2004 would not work. It was the first one for us here at
Comics 2 Cars. Was it a success? All we can say is YES! We
were busy from open to close. We saw hundreds of people come
through the door, some old friends and lots of new faces.
Everyone had a good time talking to our guest artists and left
the store with free comics, posters and prints. We did what we
could to get the word out through television ads, newspaper
coverage, and more. We think it helped, but we couldn't have
done it without the help and support of our loyal customers.
Thanks to everyone who helped make our first (of many) Free
Comic Book Days a hit!
Special thanks go out to our guest comics creators. Bill
Nichols, Craig Boldman, Mitch Byrd, Joe Corroney and David
Michael Beck. They travelled from near and far to sign
boooks, chat with fans and aspiring artists, and make our event
something special.
We
can't forget to thank Superman, Supergirl, Wolverine,
Spider-Man, Death and her sister Delirium for stopping by. It
was a sight the kids will never forget ( and that includes
the kid in all of us).
You
don't have to wait for Free Comic Book Day 2005 for the next Comics
2 Cars Special Event. Stop by the store and keep an eye
on the web site for news about sales, creator appearances and
events so spectacular that we haven't even thought of them yet.
We want C2C to be a fun place to be. Stop by soon and help
